do not trust the clasps that go around your boat. A yesterday. I search for information on the Attwood Corporation Kayak Hoist Storage System, so i would like to describe here.


bought this lift system for my boat 3° and mounted on the ceiling of my garage. because the joists in my garage running perpendicular to the direction I need to mount the winch, I installed 2 x 6 cleats with screws to the joists (each cleat spans and is secured to the joists 3 to be safe), then bolted the hoist 2 cleats x 6. the installation is pretty straight forward. I would give it 5 stars, except the diagram for routing of the wire rope hoist is rather lacking

It is a satisfactory storage solution but a lot of work. Pros: high quality components. Cons: instructions and installing complex and time consuming you need clarification. Although I work at my desk, I had 40 or more years using power and hand tools. I installed two Harken Hoister 7802 (90 lb) in my garage for two touring kayak light. both are now securely stored against my garage ceiling. However, could have been helped with the following recommendations:

The several days before. I search for information on the Heavy Duty Garage Utility Canoe and Kayak Lift Hoist Pulley Storage, so i have to tell.


as another reviewer mentioned, the instructions were terrible. There were some hardware that didn't belong and lacked some other. I used hang Yakima Skybox 21. pulleys, rope and hardware appear Sturdy for work. would have rated higher if not for the evil instructions and missing screws.

A week ago. I'm looking for information on the Extreme Max 3004.0204 Kayak / Canoe / Bike / Ladder Hoist & Lift for Storage, so i would like to bring a story to tell.


I compared a couple of units for lifting my kayak to the ceiling of my garage. I found that the hardware in this kit was the same kit that sold for a lot more from other online retailers. the installation is not terribly difficult. You must shorten the straps that hold up your kayak, if you want to hang it near the ceiling. the straps are long enough and not bending over or shorten, your kayak will be rather low droop.

A couple of days ago. I search for information on the CargoLoc Heavy Duty Garage Hoist - 100 lbs, Ceiling Mount, so i would like to bring a story to tell.


This works really good coat rack. the only gripe I had was that keeps things pretty far below the ceiling. I was hoping to raise a luggage rack above my garage doors, however this system can not do it. but gets the rack high enough that I don't hit my head on it. my garage is about 10 ' ceilings and the roof rack hangs about 6.5 ' from land now. It was easy enough to hang, the hardest part was finding the joists through the drywall to get lag screws in.

If I were one of the first pioneering people to buy, install and evaluate this article, I would be given a lower score. The couple of days ago. I'm looking for information on the TMS CART-CANOE/KAYAK-KY001 New Jon Boat Kayak Canoe Carrier Dolly Trailer, so i have to tell.


the trolley is sturdy. the tires are great and work well on rough surfaces. Beware, however, terrible smell! Do not open the package they ship indoors. I'm serious. open outside and keep it away from open Windows and doors, until it off-gas for several days. Good grief. that said, if you can get creative with the 12 foot nylon strap provide, you can easily transfer your kayak. in fact, I suspect using bungee cords would be easier than the belt

There is a lot of reviews on these things, so these are my FAQ answered. are perfect? No. the rope does kinda suck? Yes. the rope has a strange tint that sticks to your hands? A several days before. I search for information on the Grow Light Hangers - 1/8" Heavy Duty Triplet, THREE (3) Ratchets per Pack, so i have to tell.


these hooks come in a pack of 3 which made them the best offer, when I was shopping. first thing I noticed was that there were not any metal clips holding the rope together, only one node. I tied a knot more for backup and was completely satisfied with how safe they felt. I prefer there is a metal clip so I can wire as many nodes as I see fit. I also like the clicking when raising or lowering the gancio. Some people prefer the quieter, but I find it

A week ago. I'm looking for information on the Thule Load Box Lift, so i would like to describe here.


This works as it is supposed to. keeps my 1800 without any problem. a few notes though: 1) grab your mounting screws, the stuff that comes with it is rubbish 2) I ended up putting on 1 x 4 all stands and mounts to those. I did not put the central support, and it doesn't seem to matter. 3) my ceiling is just over 10 ' tall, and this just boils down to about eye-level for me (I'm 6 ' tall). is enough for me, but you might consider getting a longer rope.

I used this for my wall mount Trident 13 Angler Ocean. because as my garage is set, I had to mount the hooks closer together which causes the kayak to flop over, so I had to install a hook and bungee to keep it flat against the wall. Verify that if possible, mount the hooks far enough towards the tapered end of the kayak where its more stable then my approach.
